Hello, loves! I have to admit, I have been pretty scatter-brained this week. Meaning you get this week’s blog post a little early. Woo-hoo! I have been on a huge productivity binge – I can’t stop. It is actually becoming a bit of a problem. No joke, I have 3 to-do lists going right now; and you all know how much I love to-do lists (check out my post about them, HERE).
Anyway, let’s get back on topic, you know those nights when you can’t seem to turn your brain off and go to sleep? Well, that was me last night. I kept feeling like I was on the verge of a breakthrough for the blog. I had been tossing around post topics all week and last night it hit me – why not use both themes of Glitter & Grandeur to kick-start a new series?! Music AND Positivity – or a happy playlist, if you will. Genius, right? I know, I’m pretty clever. You can’t see it, but I’m doing a hair flip and a wink – gotta keep it sassy.
Once a month, I am going to create a Spotify playlist for you all! (Note: I’m not being paid to promote Spotify. Their services for creating playlists just work best for my needs.)
I love jamming out to a good playlist. I hate silence. Hate it. I am left alone with only my thoughts and that can turn dangerous very quickly.
So, I decided that there was no better way to start this series than with a playlist all about getting happy. Who doesn’t love a happy playlist?! When I am feeling down, music is always a quick fix to boost my spirits. If dancing around to upbeat songs doesn’t make you smile, you aren’t doing it right. Come jam with me and I’ll teach you how it’s done.
Anyway, my playlists can get pretty eclectic. It is best to listen to them on shuffle. It’s more fun to listen to songs in different orders each time – it’s like a whole new world…I mean, playlist – I’ll save Disney for another time. (Wow, I really am all over the place. I hope it’s entertaining and not distracting.) ANYWAY, my playlists include all kinds of genres. This one has Motown, indie, covers, 90’s, ska, pop, alternative rock, etc. I like to keep it interesting.
So, without further ado, here is my
What types of playlists would you like me to create in this series? I am open to any and all suggestions! I like a challenge.
