Happy Monday, my loves! Welcome to the second installment of Motivational Monday! I’m still super excited about this new series (click HERE for vol.1).
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m going to need all the motivation I can get this week. The hearing for my graduate recital and my thesis defense are in a week so I have a lot of work to do!
I’m hoping this week goes better than last week. While I was very productive last week, it ended on a sour note. On Friday, I went to the doctor and learned that I need to start taking medication again for HSP-Vasculitis (original story HERE). I’m not happy about that. Really not happy. It was a blow to my spirits to realize I’m not over this awful disease.
When I get upset and need a pick-me-up, I look at quotes. This time, I happened to stumble upon this one by Steve Chandler and I thought it was very appropriate for today’s post. Two birds, one stone – am I right?
Sometimes life makes things difficult.
Sometimes you plan out a way to do something and you are unable to accomplish it – for whatever reason, you can’t follow your plan. You have to do it badly, slowly, or fearfully. Occasionally, you have to take baby steps or go by trial and error. And you know what?! That’s OKAY! As long as you get it done, the journey doesn’t really matter.
This is what I will be telling myself this week and I hope you are inspired to do the same. Allow yourself to make mistakes, to take your time, to be scared of the outcome. If we did everything perfectly the first time around, the world would be a boring place. Mistakes and difficulties keep life interesting! They make you appreciate the easy things that much more.
“Do it badly; do it slowly; do it fearfully; do it any way you have to, but do it.” -Steve Chandler #SpreadSparkle #MotivationalMonday @GlitterGrandeur
I am sending each of you all of my motivational and productive vibes! Go do whatever it is you have to do. Do it however you need to. Just, do it!
