Well, the holiday season is upon us. I guess it has been upon us for a while but I have been crazy busy so it didn’t really hit me until I woke up this week and it was freezing all of a sudden. Seriously, one day it was seventy degrees outside and the next it’s thirty. It’s unacceptable. I hate being cold. Unless it’s snowing – like enough to build a snowman – then it’s okay in moderation. This is cold with a wind chill that hurts your face and cuts through all clothing.
Anyway, I guess this means it’s time to break out my Christmas playlist.
I sing in a church choir so I have been singing Christmas music since about September – no joke. I usually wait until a week or two before Christmas to actually start listening to Christmas music in my spare time. Even then, I haven’t successfully found a good Oklahoma radio station that plays Christmas music. So, this year I made one.
I assumed there were hundreds of covers of Christmas songs but I was still shocked. It was actually pretty difficult for me to find the classics sung by anyone not currently on the radio. I gave up after a while but still stumbled upon some gems. I was super excited when I found out that Destiny’s Child had a Christmas album. Who knew?! It made this ‘90s kid’s heart very happy.
I really struggled to put things other than Pentatonix in the Christmas playlist – there are several of their songs in there. They are so talented and I’m obsessed.
Anyway, I’m keeping this post short because it has been a crazy week and I want to get some rest. 🙂 I hope you enjoy my Christmas playlist! Share it with your friends!
So what are your favorite Christmas songs? Comment below! I’d love to know! Also, make sure to tell me what I left out and I’ll add it! I’m always looking to expand my musical literature!
Happy Holidays, loves!
